Green buckets and tubs in Focus to match Cube!

Recommended Posts

I was in Focus DIY not long ago and they had some large plastic rectangular tubs which could be used to store food (although the lids don't lock) and also some buckets which were in a very Omlet green hue. I managed to resist temptation, even though they were cheap (£3.99 and 99p respectively) but not sure how long I will resist!!

Yep Ive seen them in Tesco, my chooks just dont bother tho, prefer to make their own baths in the run, got bare earth at mo as cube in one place.

When I move it onto flags soon, I'll put a tub of sum sort in there as otherwise they won't have anything. What do u guys use? Ive tried cat litter trays, a shallow trug etc but they dont bother! :wall: Also compost is a bit damp so do u mix it with sand? Play sand obviously

I use an old buefast/butler sink that I had stawberrie plants in LOL hubby sank it in the grounds and laid a concrete salb around it, so it's concreted in now.. LOL

In the garden they have a lovely bare patch they have 'created' under a lovely bush where they become a mass of feathers in one great ball!

The older two didn't do this though really, not like this, until the newer girls came along and showed them the ropes.. LOL

Instore have a slection of tubtrug type tubs, three different sizes and a range of colours. I didn't notice what price they were though.

My girls have shallow tubtrugs as dustbaths, colour coordinated to match their eglus. They are filled with dry sieved earth and sprinkled with louse powder and redmite powder. The girls haven't been near them and prefer to dig their owns baths  . Well that was £20 well spent then
