I used to back my school books with copies of "Smash Hits" which had articles on the group

I loved them when I was younger. In fact, I still like them. I was really pleased when I bought their LP 'Please' on vinyl. Just had a look when it was released - 1986 so I was 15

And I used to buy Smash Hits when Neil Tennant was editor

They were my era too, but I was never keen on them

But I do love their latest single - can't remember what it's called, but it's great!

I love them too...I've seen them in concert twice.

 

 

Also seen Erasure four times, Human League, Soft Cell, etc. The Soft Cell concert was particularly interesting. I've never seen so much latex, rubber and leather in one room before.

Love 'em - my first valentine to OH was " from an East End girl to a west end boy"!! Silly cos I'm a Midlander and was living in East London and he was from North London. saw Depeche Mode in concert they are back on circuit too. PSB were on something on the telly recently and cant remeber what It'll come bacjk to me soon - like 2nmorrow

Preferred him as an editor to the PSB though - OK but a bit "Sunday night telly" for me.

I love old PSB. I think their latest stuff is as good as it was back in the day. Neil's voice can be a bit hit and miss live but they really know how to make a classic, distinctive record. Love them.

 

I also loved the soundtrack they did to the old film Battleship Potemkin. They performed it live in Trafalgar Square. I love that they seem to mash up high and low culture so successfully with no shame in using either however they see fit.
