carrie
It's my friends birthday today and I have no money so I have made her a hamper of home made things. In it are rhubarb jam, lemon curd, caremelised onion marmalade, seville marmalade with Bruichladdie whiskey all made by myself this year. Some eggs, some iced muffins with flowers on top and some fresh rhubarb from my garden. I was going to make a felted handbag but ran out of time . I hope she likes it and doesn't mind the lack of money spent
Mrs Frugal
I used to worry about giving handmade gifts but the recipient is usually thrilled to bits to get something that you've put time and effort into. I hope your friend is as delighted as I would be to receive all of those lovely things . I'm sure she will love your hamper of goodies . Lesley
I'm sure she will love it - I love receiving home-made goodies! - even though I make a lot of things myself, it's lovely to think that someone cared enough to make it.

Egluntyne
It sounds a lovely idea. I'd be thrilled to receive something that the giver had gone to the trouble of making.
craftyhunnypie
I would too. I wish other people would realise that I love handmade & homemade rather than buying expensive gifts. Emma.x
Lindy Loo
If I was your friend I would be THRILLED - what a fab present. I make most of my own bits and pieces for teachers gifts and for those of my colleagues and they are genuinely SO pleased to be given home made produce.
