Taking over the World...

Recommended Posts

After months of gentle persuasion...... My next door neighbours finally got chickens yesterday!! :D:D:clap::clap::clap:

They decided on 3 bantams, a lavender, buff and a lemon Pekin as hopefully their lawn will survive - they have seen mine :lol::lol:

A wooden Swiss chalet style coop was made and painted red and white, it sits on top of the run to give them more space 8) Rob isn't happy with the design and will make them a new one soon.

They are 24 weeks old and so small. I didn't realise how tiny bantams were!

Just the neighbours down the road to persuade now

Well done  , they are definitely catching on. Our house/cat/chicken sitter has been round to visit with her parents, as she still lives with them, and wants some of her own now  .

My friends children are nagging her for some and she put a bid in for an eglu on ebay the other night. And my next door neighbour spends hours watching our girls, and was overjoyed when Shirley escaped into their garden yesterday  . I don't think it will be long before there are chickens next door to us as well.

Mwaaa haaa haaa, it's all going according to my plans  .

My husband works in a biliding with lots of people. Everyday he has to find his desk under masses of donated egg boxes  and run the gauntlet of colleagues asking if he has any spare eggs today

He gets a lot of people coming to talk to him who are interested in chicken keeping. 8) Could definately be a chicken take over here

I've spoken to far more people than ever before since the ex-batts arrived - even someone I utterly despise in the working environment is acceptable to talk to as he owns hens. People in surrounding houses that I'd never spoken to before the big girls escaped into their gardens, now stop me to ask how the girlies are doing (and sent them xmas cards! ). Forget talks on nuclear disarmament, just give everyone chooks!

And very slowly, the cunning plan to bring about world peace starts to unfold ... :D
