Omletina Kyckling
My three newest ladies are now settling well and free ranging, with a bit of pecking from the other 9 but nothing too drastic.... They are fascinated by the Cube and when the others aren't around, they secretly check it out! Here they are having a look...(I can literally hear Pia saying "Come on up and look at this, you won't believe what they get to sleep in! Here is Charlotta checking things a bit closer and settling down for a while after the exhaustion of climbing the ladder... The funny thing was that Åsa was in the nestbox at the time laying an egg (or rather not laying an egg as she had a day off yesterday so laid her egg first thing, but she's clearly forgotten that as she kept going in the nestbox to lay.....not the brightest chicken in the coop....) - anyway, she saw Charlotta there and shouted her head off for ages before I went to give her a talking to (she doesn't like to be disturbed when she's laying and if the nestbox is engaged when she wants it, she creates such a fuss)
Chickvic
She looks very comfortable up there!

I reckon they are possibly a month away from laying, but are so big already! They are out and about in the whole garden for the first time today and are exploring all the flowerbeds. They come near me now when I'm out in the garden, but don't want to be picked up as yet, once they start crouching it'll be easier. Can't wait to see photos of yours!
