Chooks Aloud
Now I'm going back a few years now, but someone told me that her nan used to eat the fruits on her fushias. After they've flowered you are left with a a juicy fruit - she used to cook these in a crumble. Has anyone else tried this? I've always got loads of these, but want to make sure before I eat them. Old Speckled Hen
Hi Karen Yes they're OK to eat if rather insipid. The darker the fruit the sweeter they are. You can make jam with them or use them to flavour scnapps.
Chooks Aloud
Thanks - I've always wondered whether this was true or not, might just have to give it a go.
Blackrocksrock
I have a video somewhere of my girls eating these - they bounced and bounced higher and higher to get them and I was worried they were not good for them - now I know they are and they are welcome to them - they were so funny.
