Have managed to find the hoodie I really want on ebay-brand new, no bids, ends this evening. Unfortunately I'd asked to see if my sister could bid on it for me and she's out tonight, so no luck...have been looking for one for ages at a reasonable price.

 

Now I'm just sat here oggling at it as I really want it. I suppose I just have to hope that no one buys it and it gets relisted...

...Liz, the mods aren't happy about this topic, indirectly asking a complete stranger/forum member to buy something on your behalf.

 

It may appear harmless, but there are pitfalls for both parties (eg. giving out personal details/obtaining money etc/becoming "friends".)

Not that I doubt either party in this case, but's all a false sense of security on the internet when you haven't actually met people (as my daughter warned me when I went to Lesley's house the 1st time! ).

 

A while back (when selling) we specifically asked you not to use the forum in this way.

 

We've let this one go as it's done, but do request from everyone that we don't have posts like this in future. Thanks!

I believe that money would be changing hands with ebay Fred. Plus the majority of us are over 16 and classed as adults
