Chookiehen
We recently sold Squidgers pram on ebay, as it was too bulky to fit in chookiehubbies car, and bought ourselves a stroller. It's a really nice stroller, but it doesn't have a rear-facing faciltiy, and I just don't like the impersonal nature of not being able to see my beautiful son! Can anyone recommend a not-to-expensive rear facing buggy or stroller?!

feemcg
I used to think I didn't want my babies facing away from me but realised it was much more stimulating for them to be seeing their surroundings, taking in the noises etc. It's lovely when they start pointing at things that excite them and associate it with words....doggy, birdie etc.....I'd love to be pregnant again though.....theres such a lovely range of prams and buggies and other baby stuff.....I even admire all the lovely dummies in Boots
Egluntyne
I find push chairs fascinating these days. My children had an assortment of McLaren buggies over the years, from the basic striped 'sit up and beg' ones to a Dreamer, which was very nice but terribly heavy. All years ago. Nowadays, they look either like Victorian bath chairs or as if the user would need a degree in engineering to fold them up. I am particularly intrigued by the double decker ones. Aunty e
We're getting a loola as you can have the seat either way and they fold up very small, handy for our hallway. You can pick them up second hand pretty cheaply. Also the windoo carrycot which you can buy to match is luvverly and can be used as a car seat (only of interest to me probably) and travel cot. Am hoping to take bubs to proms in the park in it in September, all going well.
The Dogmother
Like Egluntine, I am astonished at the variety and complexity around these days. Rosie had a MacLaren pram (lie flat one), which folded down into the car. It converted to a pushchair later on and the seat could face either way. It was amazingly easy to assemble and fold. She graduated onto MacLaren buggies later on.
Looney
We're getting a loola as you can have the seat either way and they fold up very small, handy for our hallway. You can pick them up second hand pretty cheaply. Also the windoo carrycot which you can buy to match is luvverly and can be used as a car seat (only of interest to me probably) and travel cot. Am hoping to take bubs to proms in the park in it in September, all going well. We've got a Loola (Bebeconfort) and have had no problems with it. It is small enough to be useable in busy places (and fits in shop aisles) but sturdy enough to feel safe and solid. It folds up small enough to fit in our hallway which is also tiny. We bought the c"Ooops, word censored!"at / carry cot and found it really useful. You can take littl'un out of car and clip straight into wheel base without any hassle at all. We had the permanent car seat base which made it even easier to clip in and out. One piece of advice is don't buy the parasol - complete waste of money as it is hard to adjust and is useless in even the smallest breeze. The footmuff however is worth every penny. Bogwoppit now has the bigger car seat that swivels to the side so getting him in and out of the car in narrow spaces (we have a narrow carport) is far easier and it is less strain on OH's bad back. It's a whole new world!
