It seesm that the HSBC site is also a bit suspect! I read out the post about Halifax to DD as she does internet banking a lot.She went to HSBC and got a different screen up to usual.Following omleteer advice she didnt go any further and typed it into web browser,which gave her the correct welcome screen.I wonder if any other banks have been 'done'?(scuttles off to try Natwest..)

Never click on links in emails (if they are from banks etc)

i never heard of "phishing" before i thought it was either a misspell for Fishing or another word beginning with p and banned by the mods give u a clue used in another form with "off" after it

phishing is when fraudsters try to get your bank details by sending dodgy links to fake websites that then harvest your log-on and password. The fraudsters can then make off with your money!! Beware!!
