Well here we are at 10.45 and is she in the nest box getting ready Noooooo, she's out in the run bold as brass, not even looking ashamed of herself She is looking rather huffed about all the wind we have here today though but I have no sympathy for her Until she lays an egg, we're not talking ....until later on when the kids come home and they all come out to play that is

Ain't Nobody Here
How old are your girls again? Don't want to worry you but 2 of mine were 28 weeks and one was 39 weeks before they laid. (Although the 39 week one laid 10 tiny eggs a month after she arrived, then stopped for 3 months .)
katieadams
They'll be around 23 weeks now so not exactly ancient yet, I think I'd be a lot less bothered if the breeder hadn't said Beaky was about ready to lay and got my hopes up!! We had our big breakfast this morning with shop bought eggs, I've given up hope now Bet they all wait til we go on hols in 5 weeks and then lay like mad for our friends

katieadams
I definitely think they're all having us on Pudleduck, I reckon eggs come from trees or something!! Ours are definitely 23 weeks - they were 'around 18 weeks' when we got them (apparantly) and we've had them for 5 long weeks today! I have started calling them our 'ornamental hens'
