ClaireG
DS went to get changed after his May Day Fete at school and shouted to me that he had spots on his tummy. He has got Chickenpox. I ran him a bath with biocarb in a while ago and the spots had spread already to his legs, groin, shoulders and elbow creases. Im wondering how many he will have when he gets up tomorow morning! He is not very itchy at the moment but am going to stock up on calamine and bicarb and we have some liquid anti- histamine that is suitable for children that he can take if he gets very itchy. Chook n Boo Mum
Have you been fraternising with Redfrock ? Poor little chap, I hope he's not too miserable with it all. Cool & de-itching {{{hugs}}} to you both, Sha x
Patricia W
Oh dear - another one! Chicken pox season is well and truly with us! Hope he doesn't feel too bad. Anyone else in the family likely to get it? Tricia
redfrock
Not guilty ma'am I promise! LOL! Poor lad I really really really sympathise! Germolene is good for the spots - it is a painkiller and antiseptic. Use liberally!
Chook n Boo Mum
Mmmm I bet you smell good Not sure it would catch on though, "eau de germolene" I remember loving the smell of germolene, but I haven't used it for years, is it still the same scent? Lesley
Yes Sha, it is! - I'm never far from a tube of Germolene Hope your little one soon feels better Claire. Chickenpox is doing the rounds here as well. My 'DIL to be' caught it from one of the children at the Nursery where she works.
clootie
How's the patient this morning? Hope he had a decent night's sleep without too much scratching.
Ain't Nobody Here
Sorry to hear about your DS . Poor chap, I hope he's not too itchy .
ClaireG
He is not too itchy at the moment thanks. We're ( Mum and I!) now not convinced it is chickenpox as the spots arn't that blistery and as itchy as i'd expect Some have small blisters and others have none! Unfortunatly, i couldn't get him in with me to see the nurse this morning. If i'm still not sure tomorrow i'll get an appointment for him.
