mad house
some time back someone said that they used a clear tarpaulin cover over their run, can anyone remember who and where they got it from. I wrote down the web address but put it in a too safe a place and can't find it now Would be grateful if anyone could shed some light on this

The Dogmother
IKEA shower curtains are the biz - so easy to fit and they look fab too. My run cover cost under a tenner. See my album link in my signature for pictures. I have just got them (one for the chooks and one for the bunnies) out of the shed after the summer and they still look fine after a year. Cate in NZ
I'm an Ikea shower curtain girl too I'm afraid, they were very, very cheap, and I refitted mine a couple of weeks ago (when we had thunderous rain) and they were fine, definitely up to another winter
Guest
I got a clear tarpaulin from B&Q last winter as the Edinburgh Ikea had suffered from a rush of people buying the clear shower curtains. I can't remember how much it was now - it wasn;t tremendously expensive though, but it was ENORMOUS, so it ended up being cut in half, meaning I had a spare when the original got ripped during very strong winds. Trish
With my run extention the shower curtains aren't big enough so I've got the taupalin version. It's going strong at the mo, despite gale force widns and torrential rain
The Dogmother
I've got the extension too Trish and had the same quandary as you. I put the shower curtain cover nearest to the Eglu and then put the small Omlet cover at the front - seems to work well enough and they have plenty of light when they are in the run. Trish
Hi Clare. I did try a shower curtain but the only one I couls get was clear but frosted, if you see what I mean, and the girls hated it. As soo as it went on they got very distressed and didn't want to be in the run at all. The tarp I have is totally clear and they seem happy with that. Strange birds!
