Well, I have come a long way since my comments re the kill pluck and gut course. I had to get my head around the fact that the boys ain't going to live to old age, before going ahead with hatching. Then it seemed to be one attitude change after another. Now I'm actually wishing Id gone on the blasted course If I want to keep hatching, it has to be faced. And I do want to keep hatching.

 

Roll on chicken and mushrooms cooked in a creamy sauce with a side order of rice with black pepper and a bit of butter.

Last time I peeked, she had moved over to the other side of the eglu to sit on her chicks, leaving the eggs bare. I would have been okay with one chick, but I'm kind of glad there are two. One would seem a little lonely somehow, and harder to integrate maybe?

I'm looking foward to seeing you again and introducing you to the babies. You wont believe how cute they are.

I got to visit the babies yesterday .

 

Henrietta is being a 1st class mum and her 2 bundles of fluff are soooooooo adorable.

The thought that the Exbatt is going to be a mummy kind of made me emotional. Its like one of those sad romantic type films where someone's life is horrible, and sad, and they struggle through, against all sorts of hardships etc and then at the end they are surrounded by good things and, oh, well, you know the kind of thing ..*sniff*

 

 

Films like that always make me sob, in a good way.
