HENthusiastic
Henrietta's babys are due on Wednesday . I'm really excited, but the nearer the time comes, the less I believe that it will happen. It almost seems supernatural, that those little eggs might turn into little chickies . Good luck

HENthusiastic
Oh Wow. I want a quail chick . Well the big day is tomorow and I'm starting to get very nervous. Anybody know what I should do if NO chicks hatch? I assume she will continue sitting. Also, the chicks will be okay left with mum in the Eglu won't they? Sorry; last minute nerves are kicking in. HENthusiastic
Should I be able to hear them cheeping today, even though Henrietta is sat on top of them? Will I know if they are hatching? Will they hatch underneath her or will she get up to let them hatch? I thought I knew everything. now I know NOTHING! eeeeakkkkk!
Lewis
They'll hatch underneath her. She'll stay on top of them to provide more humidity for them to hatch. If she's in the eglu on her own with them, other people have taken out the roosting bars and left them in. If none hatch, she will know and leave the nest in a few days, if not you might need to take her off, bit wait a few days and give them a chance. Be patient, you might not hear anything. Good luck! tidygirlsuk
good luck. Mine are due 2nd june onwards. At least your time has come. 21 days isn't long but it feels like a life time when waiting for eggs to hatch, doesn't it !? What eggs have you got under there ? HENthusiastic
Thanks guys. I'm really fretting now. NO sign of any cheeping and believe me, Ive spent quite a bit of time with my ear to the eglu today. How often do you get NO eggs hatching? If I dont hear them cheep, does this mean they wont hatch? I'll be so so so disapointed if she doesn't have any. And she will be gutted I expect. Shes sat on 4 pure breed (cant remember the name black and white barred) and 2 Brah-Bats! (thats ex-batt mother and Brahma father!).
