Ive just been out cuddling them both! I think thats all now folks. No sign of cheeping or any holes appearing in the other four eggs.

Hen has kindly been keeping me up to date hour by hour by mobile phone, and even sending me pictures . It's so nice to get on here and see pictures full size , they look even cuter , if that is even possible .

Been watching the chicks on and off all day. The brabat is a fair bit bigger than the black one. And SHE HAS FEATHERED LEGS! They are so cute! They have been coming out from under mum for a few minutes and roaming around the eglu.

I've just spent 5 minutes googling various spellings of Brabatt - Brahbat, Brabat etc etc. to try and see what this new breed of chicken is. That'll teach me not to read the thread in full!

So sorry. Went to work as normal yesterday, but then had to go on an "emergency" work night out . I had to buy an outfit in my lunchtime and everything. Good job I wasn't working today as I spent most of it in bed . So glad both chicks are doing well, and that the brah-batt has feathered feet .

They ought to, but he is strangely immune to such things.

 

He likes the big girls but I don't think little balls of fluff are his thing, especially since some would be boys. Even the thought of (Fingers in ears, HEN!) eating them (ok HEN, you can come out now) doesn't persuade him.
