The Dogmother
You won't be able to sleep HEN, you'll be down there in your 'jamas waiting for another baby to appear! They can take quite a while from pipping to actually appearing, so take a hot water bottle and some warm socks
Griffin
Well done! Mum looks so proud. Fingers crossed for more!
HENthusiastic
They can take quite a while from pipping to actually appearing How long could the hatch go on for? How long before I take any unhatched eggs away? I am in bed and staying firmly put until morning. I need my sleep
Lewis
They can take quite a while from pipping to actually appearing How long could the hatch go on for? How long before I take any unhatched eggs away? I am in bed and staying firmly put until morning. I need my sleep It can go on for 48 hours! Normally over within a few hours though, because they break the air sac inside the egg, then make their way out. You can take the egg shell out when you're ready, they won't be getting back in You can show everyone and in a few weeks, you won't believe that a chicken that big got out of a shell that small!
