Guest
Ginger has bee laying eggs with have absolutly no shell what so ever. She has layed one or two before but then gone back to laying normally so I put it down to lack of calcium but now shes been laying them for about just over a week. Otherwise she doesn't seem un well if prehaps a little less energetic. Any suggestions? I am making sure there is plenty of grit and oystershell out and I am going to start mixing limestone flour into her layers pellets.
Budgies
Has she been wormed recently? If not, I'd recommend doing so with Flubenvet.
Guest
I wormed her yesterday so we'll see if that helps. She also has slightly runny poos. She still seems a little under the weather.
Egluntyne
If you used Flubenvet, she needs a seven day course, Limestone flour is a good idea. I'd also add a dollop of cod liver oil to the pellets as it contains vit D3 which will help with calcium metabolism.
Budgies
I'd also check her roost bars - wipe them with kitchen paper especially in all the nooks and crannies - to see if you have red mite. Hens suffer a loss of condition very quickly with an infestation.
