A huge lorry had stopped in the middle of the road to let mummy duck and baby ducklings cross the road safely. I watch while they waddled across and up a drive. But then one fell down a drain!!!!! I pulled over but couldn't lift the cover so I found a man who could. Then his wife had to start making duck noises to entice the youngster within reach. Once safely retrieved we just had to find mum and the rest of the brood. We followed the cheeping noises and found them hiding in a garden. Happy ending all round!!!
