HennyPenny Posted June 3, 2009 Share Posted June 3, 2009 She was nearly four and had been poorly for a little while now, so we were half-expecting it but it still wasn't nice to come home and find her. We buried Samosa under (well, right by) our quince tree - which is quite small still and at the bottom of the garden - and buried her deep. Then we put stones (quite big) on the top, so that Mabel wouldn't dig her up. Personally, I love the fact that she is in the garden. We only had her 3 weeks and I was devastated by her death, so can't imagine what it must be like to have a chicken for as long as you have had Rita.
