You might find this link useful: http://poultrykeeper.com/waterfowl-ducks-geese/frequently-asked-questions-ducks/can-you-keep-chickens-ducks-together.html the key issue I have heard about keeping ducks and chickens is to ensure the chickens water is not infected by the ducks, but given the difference in size (even when grown) I guess just putting the chicken water higher would work.

Just to let you know that ive got in 1 run 4 indian runner ducks 3 calls and 1 chicken and they get on very well ive tryed putting in my ex battery hens and she get the hump :lol: so it can be done may be with some free ranging with the space getting smaller as time gose on, you can leave them in there run on there own :dance: best of luck

I'm hoping with a little bit of time and perseverance they will one day all live happily together. However Florence much prefers having the little girls as company in the run i am sure of it and the ducks just seem happy as long as they have their pond! :D

 

I love Indian Runners...my mum has 3 :D
