Ain't Nobody Here
My ES is doing his work experience at my school this week . It felt very odd taking him in with me today but he seems to have settled in well and is in a class with a lovely, very good teacher. I said to her "please look after my little boy" and she replied "Little boy . He's 6'3" and I'm 5'3" . It's not a field he's interested in but he didn't get off his nether regions to organise anything himself . I'm seeing it as "life" rather than "work" experience as he'll get to see & work with children with autism, aspergers and learning difficulties - hopefully he'll get the message that not everybody is born with the abilities and opportunities he is lucky enough to have. kitbag
Yay! Good for him! For my work experience, I also went to a school for children with learning difficulties, and it was a good experience! I learnt a lot, and I really enjoyed myself! Hope he enjoys the rest of the week!!

littleleicesterfox
My 5 year old gets upset when I call her my baby! They're all my babies - from my 11 year old lad all the way to my 14 month old baby boy xxxx I hope he has a great week - when I was that age I did a few summers volunteering with a playscheme for children with special needs and I really enjoyed it and got an awful lot out of it (I can still remeber some makaton now!).
