iPhone 3G

Recommended Posts

I heard this on the news yesterday. As Apple are bringing out an all new singing and dancing iPhone, they are selling the 'old' ones for £60! Well, I can't find it anywhere over here. I guess you can only get it in old US of A :(

I thought it would have been a fab and useful (see my other post about broken phone) pressie for my ED's bday from my family but shh don't tell her

That is not entirely true, just contacted apple and they are being sold with a discount of £60.

Hey, don't hold back Fred! I was only saying what I'd heard on the radio a couple of days ago. And what I had read myself on the internet.

bit below is the relevent piece I'd heard. Being $99 is about £60.

8.02pm: price dropped on the iPhone 3G, to $99 for 8GB model. Again, wait for the UK details.

It doesn't matter what they do in the US, they dropped it to $99 but you have to sign up to a 2 year AT&T contract. The price is unlikely to drop in the UK as it is offered on pay and go by O2, as it has been said, on contract the 8GB version is now free on the cheapest tariff and the 16GB one is £57.74.

Well, it does matter what they do in the US as usually the UK follows. Maybe a few months to a year later.

As I said in my original post, I had heard a news story about it and was just asking if anyone knew of anywhere that was selling it over here for £60. I didn't expect for someone to said what I had written was a load of rubbish!
