mrsallen08
Hiya Heard that there were some silkie chicks for sale not too far from us. I really wanted a white silkie but when we got there the breeder was unsure of the sex of the last white ones, so rather than risk it we bought a Bearded Partridge Silkie Pullet and a Blue Silkie Pullet. They are only 10 weeks and are still cheep cheepy cheeping! We were talking with the breeder about our broody hens and wondering whether to sell or keep them and she gave us some fertilised silkie and barnelveder eggs for free! PLUS on the drive home we found a chicken of fate! Just scratching a long the embankment! We hadn't passed any farms for a long way and as it could have been ran over, the husband did an emergency brake and scooped her up too! So thats 2x silkie chicks, 6 fertile eggs and a hen of fate! Not bad for a Monday evening!

mrsallen08
COF is on the left being eyed up by our latest exbatt. COF is gorgeous and really plump, just got an overshot beak. There are farms all over though so would have no idea where she came from??? Is COF guilt normal, after all the excitement???
