AJuff
One of my columbines is broody. She's been hogging the cube nest box so I thought I'd remove her to the eglu and run. To do this I had to carry her up the garden steps and round the front of the house and down into the side garden which is only on the other side of the walk in run. (I have to do this as the new steps into the garden haven't been built yet!) I put her in a tub trug so I could carry her easily. She had the most enourmous disgusting poo I've ever seen and it stank!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UGGGHHH!!! She is not happy in the eglu even though I've given her some eggs to sit on. Her feathers are all yucky as she squished her poo when she went into the eglu. It stinks and the garden smells too. I've had a shower and I can still smell it!! I'm hoping it rains overnight and washes out the tub trug because I didn't have the stomach to clean it!!!

Yolky
Broody poo has to be the worst poo ever. It smells like korma poo x 10000 and is the size of a large dogs poo! Who knew a little chicken could save up that much poop!

AJuff
I'm on a sharp learning curve . . . it's the first broody I've had. Any other nasty surprises for me???
abwsco
Try giving her tinned sweetcorn and then the poo's go sloppy as well as stinky Mine screams in disgust when she's done her broody poo and burys it as quickly as she can!
Egluntyne
I'm on a sharp learning curve . . . it's the first broody I've had. Any other nasty surprises for me??? She will be a magnet for lice and mites. I'd give her a thorough dusting as soon as you can, especially under her wings and around her bottom.
