4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

hi i'm kinda a newbie, i have had my chooks for three months and 10 days.

 

we have a .

 

on our first day we had an

 

yolko

shelly

omlet

poachie

 

 

they keep jumping out of their pen.(omlet netting)

 

 

 

should i clip their wings , or is there an alternative ?

Are they launching themselves off anything (like the cube)? You could try clipping their wings but if they've found a launch pad that won't really help .

As ANH says if they have a launchpad wing clipping may not make much difference.

 

All my lot have clipped wings and so far only Fizz the Bluebelle has made it over the netting...she just jumps over though A bt like one of those planes that take off but just going straight up

we have clipped poachies wing , today and she seems to have calmed down but they do have a launch pad.

 

 

oh well they dont cause much trouble.

Welcome Gracie.

 

To be honest my girls all have their wings clipped and they still manage to make big leaps into the air. I have to be really careful I don't put our garden chairs on the lawn as they will jump over the fence
