Cinnamon
Anyone else been watching this,on Living TV? The basic premise is that there are 4 wedding each week, all very different, & all the Brides go to each one & score on things like the frock, presentation, food & so forth. The winning Bride wins a luxury 5* Honeymoon for her & hubby. Its marvellously catty & has some true 'hide behind the sofa cringing' moments, as well as some real laughs. This weeks was a classic with the Bride of a male gay couple falling out with another Bride & just slating her wedding horribly Then there was the Irish dancing............................. chelsea
Yes have been watching it, quite enjoyable. What I cannot get over is how much people are prepared to pay on a wedding these days!
*mummy_hen*
I LOVE that show To be honest though i like all wedding related shows! It started when i was planning my wedding and my mum and me watched every single one and now we are both still quite addicted! Have you tried the play along online bit? Clash City Rocker
Guilty secret, I've seen two episodes of this programme sky plussed it !!!! The first episode was brilliant, there was a wedding that cost £1000's "perfect princess type wedding". Fine dining, brilliant venue, no expense spared and one of the other contestants slated the whole event from start to finish. The contestant who had slated everything then had her wedding in a "grubby old cave" for about a £ fiver !!!!! It's just like "come dine with me" only weddings rather than meals. 9.00pm Monday evenings Living tv. Anyone seem Jo Brand in "getting on" very funny. Cinnamon
Clash, you are the last person on this forum that I expected to come out as a fan Glad others out there are enjoying it too
theherd123
I just couldnt watch it! I have seen it advertised and just thought i'd spend all my time cringing and being ashamed for the contestants, so its not for me. Along with other programmes like Britains Got Talent, X Factor etc - i just cant do it!
Lesley
I wasn't - but the local paper had a report that one of the weddings has just taken place at Ettington Park Hotel. We used to live nearby and I worked there for a while doing the accounts, my daughter started her hotel management training there, as did her husband (they met there) and so did my son! Have I missed it? ....and I wondered where the Jo Brand programme had gone.......I saw the trailers and then nothing....which channel please? deejmum
love jo Brand! Love 4 weddings but would never have sabotaged my own wedding for a bit of publicity and a posh honeymoon! at the irish dancing! but lovedit at the same time!
Clash City Rocker
Clash, you are the last person on this forum that I expected to come out as a fan Must of been on this forum too long, or "channel hopping". It really is an awful, tacky programme a complete waste of programme makers budget but very compulsive viewing. It reminds me of "come dine with me" (another guilty secret) Soon it will have "cult" status Tonight 9.00pm Living TV. (Jo Brand - "Getting On" BBC 4 Tuesdays and repeated a couple of times a week)
Lesley
Thanks Clash! I've changed to using a Humax box and it isn't as easy to look around as a Sky+ box.
