Olly
Well, I last posted on here in December 09 - however getting some new windows fitted has inspired me to sort the spare room out. I think I was up to about 40, allowing for random bags of stuff that I didn't list. Today: 41: a rug that hasn't been used since I moved 4 years ago 42: dressing gown (I still have 2 spares) 43: curtains from the old house, plus linings (pity I didn't remember I had these before I went curtain-shopping yesterday! ) 44, 45: 2 more pairs of old curtains 46: lovely black trousers that I can't get into any more 47: several other clothing items, ditto! 48: modem and various cables not required now I have WiFi 49: cushion covers that don't go with the new curtains 50: numerous books - I am going to allow myself five points for these, as I really have had a cull, it's not just the odd one or two: 55: hairbrush, bought and never used 56: various costume jewellery items no longer worn 57: Ornament (unwanted gift) - given to local cat charity 58: table mats, ditto - also to cat charity Everything else will be going to the charity shop next weekend. 59: yet another huge collection of carrier bags, plastic and paper - some are going to be used to transport the above to the charity shop, some will be recycled, some are only fit for the bin 60: various cardboard boxes, split up for recycling 61: large piece of bubble wrap. I still have several drawers and cupboards to go through. The best thing is that I can now hang my sleeping-bag in the spare room wardrobe, much better for it than keeping it in the stuff-sac, and I can keep the spare pillows where I can reach them without a ladder. It feels great!

Sheilaz
Well done Lillybettybabs, a terriffic start. Well done Couperwife, can I borrow your Mum to help please? Well done Patricia, that's great progress, it's really adding up. Well done Egluntyne, your post has inspired me. Well done Bronze, I know you have an incentive but it's an amazing achievement. Um, I posted over 2 weeks ago about restarting on Tuesday. Luckily didn't say which Tuesday. Tomorow maybe. I've really lapsed at home, but somehow spend silly hours decluttering at work. OK. Tomorrow then. Please make me do it.
