Poo pick......Then what?

Recommended Posts

I collect mine!? :D not as odd as it sounds honest! :lol: I collect it all in a compost bag inside a metal bin and when I have a bag that is full I take it down the allotment or post is as Offered on Freecyle. When i do a complete WIR clean out it all goes into bags and then on freecycle

Freecyclers love chicken poo! They will take bags and bags of poo and bedding like it is gold!

We have this problem too.

My garden is not big enough for a compost heap or a large compost bin because when I clean the run out there is just too much to go into a compost bin I think :(

The council say that I cannot put it into the green garden waste bin. (Although I have started to recently-just scared of getting caught :oops: )

I don't put it on freecycle as I don't really want various people coming to my house to collect it (Bit shy) :oops:

So it was all going in black bags I'm afraid :?

I am thinking I might buy some of those bin liners that rot down if I get busted putting it into the garden waste bin, that way I won't feel as guilty throwing it out.

No idea what I am going to do when the council start weighing our household waste and charging us if it exceeds a certain weight :think: (So rumour has it)

xScrunchee.....do you have allotments nearby? You could back it up and drop it off down there? My chicken poo (well the girls! :oops: ) is in hot demand at the moment from my lottie neighbours and i have said I will leave it bagged up at the top of my plot and they just take what they want. It vanishes pretty quickly.....when I return there is just a pile of empty sacks under a brick!

There are none near to us :(

There are some that are a bit of a drive away though. Could get OH to drop the bags off there I guess.

Could stick a note on the bags saying 'Free chicken poo. Please help yourselves. Anon.'

:lol::lol:

Could be known as the chicken poo fairy-secretly leaving gifts of chicken poo but never being seen 8)

compost bin most of the time (if I forget then it goes in the green bin). I guess you could just dig an hole in the ground and bury it - as long as it wasn't too close to tender plants you'd be fine and things would grow very well in the future. I'm surprised you can't put it in the green council bin as chicken poop is an accelerator to the composting process - still each council is different.
