My hen run is ready for a thorough change of Easi bed. I have Easibed on earth and whilst I'm off on holiday i will slab the whole run and have a thinner layer of Easibed on top for ease of changing frequently. My local supplier has had trouble getting Easibed lately and deliveries are very erratic. It seems they can no longer get it. I can't find anything else suitable in my local area!!! Now what? Any suggestions?

I think any of the horse beddings are fine but some have said avoid straw because it can get soggy. I use hemcore which like auboise is a hemp based bedding. What does your supplier have? Why not try different products in turn then come and persuade us?

I am currently using Bliss which is chopped rape straw. I purchased cookie some Bedmax which is like big bits of wood shaving and she is loving it! I have used easibed, hemcore and aubiose.

My eglu is on woodchip

I prefer Aubiose but the girls don`t seem to mind anything...plus there is no real difference....it all just gets pooped on!

Where abouts are you Ajuff and maybe someone can recommend another local supplier to you?

I get my chickeny bits from Here, delivery can make it cost a fair bit but I don't really have much choice as I seem to have trouble getting the bits I need locally. I think I have to choose regional delivery and a bale of Aubiose or a sack of pellets cost about £5 for the delivery.

Just noticed that they are closed until 17th August.
