daj198
As if I needed any more convincing to get bees, a local magazine comes though the letter box. Photos below.... I hope you can read it. Very interesting- but best of all, my neighbours will be all for us having bees!

Guest
Gosh lucky you that looks like a really good read, interesting for me to spot the hedgerows that disappeared as my brother in law was paid as were a lot of other farmers to remove their hedges! Isnt that terrible! I sitll have mine and I have clover which has done well this year..when I walk my dog I am trying not to stand on any bees in the way.. The one bee that I only see occasionally is those great big bumble bees(huge ones) late summer time I have a fairly dry ditch in my back garden with lots of rotting wood so I think thats where they seem to come from. I have noticed lost of butterflies peacocks and admirals this year too on the footpaths as the farmers have been paid not to cut the field edges (they use to keep them neat now they are really wild) I am going to start looking up the different types of bees now..but must say all around my fields are tons of neat weed free crops! indie
