Debs, I started my GCSE work last year.... Because my headteacher thinks that doing GCSE's early is a great idea Im not too sure!

I will still have clarinet with a teacher from the county but the schools music teacher is disappointed I didn't take music...he said it's okay though, if I "want to be a scientist"

I have also been told I'm closing doors on myself by not taking German, History or Drama teachers get very protective of their subjects

 

I think that's all of them...

 

I wanted to take I.T too, but I couldn't as they made us give up on of our options if we wanted 3 separate GCSEs for Science..instead of just one with biology, chemistry and physics together.

Gosh things haven't changed in 20 years then I argued with my Welsh teacher for dropping it (my logic was I can talk to everyone in Wales in English, I'd rather learn a language which would allow me to speak to more people), my history teacher and my drama teacher.

DD didn't want to do science - her teacher begged her to do it because she was good. DD doesn't like being good - she likes to play Bimbo. My teacher begged me to give up science!

The french teacher always asks me if I took french, and each time I say no, he has a go at me. Grrr! Me and my friend were in the gifted and talented french group which meant we took exams in French, so we didnt think we needed to take it. Ah well!

Suppose you want clotted cream on them. Used to go to a pancake shop near Charing Cross when I was a student and you could have bacon and beans, or all sorts of indulgences. It was thought very cool when I was young - long time ago in the dark ages.
