I live in Cheltenham and the nearest place I can find around here to buy Poultry Shield is the Domestic Fowl Trust. I have been there today and got some but I am not very happy giving them my business as I don't think they treat their birds very well. Does anyone know of anywhere else in the area I can purchase Poultry Shield, Diatom etc.

We get ours online .. its cheating i know and we prob could find it cheaper in the shops but its finding the time to go look.

we got out poultry shield and diatom from mole valley farmers, with the postage it costs £4 less than it would have from flyte so fancy and £2 less than if we bought it from our local shop.

and the delivery was really quick.

I also live in Cheltenham and get it online from flytesofancy. However if I am passing I do use the domestic fowl trust. DFT put a few birds in cages by the shop for quick sell, from my experience they rarely stay there more than a couple of hours - the 'for sale' birds can be seen in a masive pen out the back in the open - what is it about their bird treatment you have an issue with? I have had some very healthy birds from them.

There was a thread on the chicken board back in July regarding the Domestic Fowl Trust regarding the stock there. I have also heard from several people who keep poultry in the Worcestershire area that they have seen conditions that are far from ideal.

I get mine from mole valley farmers too and the service is brilliant. I got a tub of stalosan f from them and the bottom of the tub was slightly split and the powder was spilling out a bit. i rang and told them and i had a replacement (which they swapped for the other one) the very next day!!
