Omlet cube and run

Has anyone else had a go at these?

You cut strips of fabric and wind them around washing line, then machine them together. Its really fun and easy. I made a little one I put on 'what are you making today..'. Then I've done a little basket

 

 

and now having a go at making a waste paper bin.

How on earth do you machine stitch them together though? It looks very fiddly!

No it's so simple

You start by wrapping the 1" strips around the washing line leaving a 4 in length and put a bulldog clip to stop it unravelling. The 4 in bit twist and coil and sew across to hold then coil the cord around it and zig zag along the join. When you have a big enough base you flip it up and carry on.

I went into a shop in town this morning and bought 3 clothes lines. The till girl asked me if I have a large family

Well I'm using nylon 30m for 99p but its not covered in plastic, so it can be sewn through.

I got a bit carried away. Bit bright and it's more like a bucket, but thought you may like to see it.

 

 

 

Think I'll make a very small bowl now with some silk s"Ooops, word censored!"s I've got.
