HappyhenSG
I have sadly lost 2 of my ex-bats in the last few months and they are buried at the end of the garden in our little 'pet cemetery' with my other departed pets. We've put a slab marking the spot (also to stop foxes digging) but would like to put something on top. Does anyone know where I can get a small chicken (not rooster) garden ornament - pref stone coloured as opposed to a painted one. I can find cats, rabbits, etc very easily but all the chicken ones seem a bit gawdy and not very fitting for a gravestone. Wiltshire area preferred so I can collect as I'd imagine the postage would be rather expensive. Hope you can help.
Alis girls
I dont know if Wyevale do any chicken ones and I saw a website in Country Living called www.forclucksake.com which had some nice things. If you or OH are artisitic - you could if you had time sand any paint on gawdy ones down and repaint it yourselves. My dad did that on an owl which had a broken ear. Good luck

HappyhenSG
Thanks for all your replies - I would prefer something physical so to speak, that I can put on their graves although the memorial sites are a lovely idea. I do like the little brass hen, although I suspect that my 3yr old son will do too, and is therefore likely to play with it Will keep looking - I guess something will turn up some day. Cinnamon
Just a thought, but I have a really nice metal hen shaped egg basket, which would be weather proof & you could line it plant it up with something maybe? A bit like THIS
HappyhenSG
Like that idea Cinnamon, thanks! Had seen some hen topiary things but am not into topiary - could plant this up nicely though.
