Hi Space chick,

Hmm sorry I'm not going to be be of any help this time round, but I've bookmarked the site as we would love to rescue next time .

We didnt have the confidence first time round . So although we will have to wait a little while, as our girlies are all happy & settled in their little flock, we're definitely interested in rescuing next time.

Patients isn't one of my strong points I have measured up my spare run and am now going to search for a new coop to go with it (While my OH is at work!!)

4 will fit fine in an Eglu, its the run space that is the issue.

 

So it depends on whether you have the standard Eglu run or whether you have some extensions or a walk in run, also whether you free range them aswell.

Have you any extra housing to put them in for a few weeks whilst they regain their strength & health?

 

I wouldn't recommend putting newly retired laydees in with healthy girls until they are full "up to speed". All the usual "rules" and suggestions apply when introducing ex-batts to an existing flock

I'd contact them again if it hasn't, as today is the 'closing date'.

 

I got instructions with my email re paying by paypal, which confirms the arrangement.

Have e-mailed again to check, but still nothing,I donated by pay-pal the other day as well.I also sent an email before donating to check about donating as I hadn't donated when I sent the application form - I got no reply to that either, so I donated just in case!

have heard back at last and been told not to panic! Hurrah! New coop being delivered on Monday (3rd one in 4 months!), so now to get some more feeders etc.

Will be needing loads of advice for looking after them and making them happy.

* Waves* I am, but apart from being told that I'd been accepted, I haven't any further info. The email did say that we would hear a few days beforehand.
