alex_m
I have only had my girls for a few weeks. Whenever I try a treat in the afternoon they seem to turn their nose up and go back to the pellets. I've tried grapes, cherry tomatoes, shreaded carrot, lettuce. mashed potato. Sweet corn. Is it because they're still young and they develop a taste for veggies as they get older? or shall I just give up lol
chickencam
When I got my original girls they didn't have a clue about veg treats, they have developed a much more varied diet as they have got older. Mine still don't bother with tomatoes, but eat most other fruits and veg. My newbies took a couple of weeks too but they saw the older ones eating everything and soon caught on. fluffyknickers
Mine were not interested really until they were laying and now i cannot touch the kitchen door as they all run to the netting and make loud noises til I come out with something.
