chickencam
We are thinking abut getting a Wii to take away with us at half term. We are going to a lovely quiet cottage and just plan to chill out, so if the weather is wet and we are indoors we would like something that we can all get involved in. The basic machine and sports pack is pretty cheap around the place at the moment. My main question is will we get enough out of that for a week, what extras should be think about buying and what other family based games etc can anyone recommend. ClaireG
The sports pack is great. I would recommend buying more Wii remotes so that more of you can play at once. We took our Wii to my parents house last Christmas and everyone from DS, who was then 9, to my 84 year old Gran loved it!!
Chucky Mama
That should be fine for the week, you can build on it for Christmas maybe. You need to make sure that you have enough nunchucks though.
Paddy
We love our Wii! I would recommend getting the sports pack to begin with - it is great to start with and then add on as we have at various Xmas's and Birthdays. Cannot recommend the Mario Kart and Wii Resort enough - they are expensive but worth investing in instead of lots of cheaper games that you inevitably discard for the expensive ones. Griffin
You'll need two remotes, some games come with an extra one so it's worth buying one of those games too. Wii Sports kept us amused for ages and then last Christmas my parents bought the kids Wii Fit too and I'd highly recommend that.
fluffyknickers
Ooh what a good idea. We are going away for October half term too and will bring ours! Thanks, michelle
Falkor
I ended up selling my Wii as OH and I just didn`t use it....what with work and chooks there is not much time for much else but....... For family fun I would highly recommend it! The sports pack is great but I agree you will need additional remotes to make the most of it. We purchased Wii Play along with our Wii - it comes with a remote and has lots of mini-games http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000INYT0G/ref=nosim/coffeeuk69541-
PurpleTree
we've been thinking about getting one too, although have put plans on hold at the mo. My mum really fancies getting one too. The package we fancied when we were looking around was this one http://www.woolworths.co.uk/rf/wlo/p.do/console-packages/wii-console-plus-mario-kart-wheel-and-lego-batman?Ntx=mode+matchallpartial&SNtt=wii&groupId=595950340&Nu=this_product&SNtk=generic_search&Np=1&SN=85+4294485470&Ntt=595950340&D=595950340&Ntk=group_search&Dx=mode%2bmatchall&thisprod=595950340&N=85+4294485470&Nty=1&Mis_item_id=15&Mis_item_loc_id=1&product=595950340 (sorry don't know how to do the clicky thing) I think when I first found it they had an offer it. My little boy loves Lego Batman on the PS2.
