Recommended Posts

Just seen this on preloved, thought it was wise to circulate:

http://www.preloved.co.uk/fuseaction-adverts.showadvert/index-1032115415/b9a4387d.html

04/10/09 evening i had two of my very beautiful pekin hens stolen from bishops waltham in hampshire , the police have been informed , if you get offered a pekin hen black or a black pekin with bown feathers running through her neck , both are approx 3 years old , i have had them from chicks and i am not very impressed . if you get offered these please call or email me

Also 8 pekin bantams and 1 leghorn was stolen 04\10\09 evening stolen in swanmore . the police have been informed , if you are offered any again , please call or email there has also chickens stolen in alresford ,

this is a warning to all lots of chickens are being stolen at the moment so please ensure all your chickens are shut away (paddlocked ) in at nite

There seems to be a spate of these thefts going on around the country currently as more and mroe people return to keeping chickens in their back yards - if anyone sees anything suspicious or sees someone doing this the police would like to know.

Take care all, and love to all of your lovely girls (and boys) out there xx

I could put a lock on the WIR but all the cubes are outside, so are the eglus...will have to enquire as my Oracle (DH  )'s thoughts on this one...................maybe he'll extend the big WIR & incorporate the (cube lilac) & (cube orange) and a second WIR for the (cube red) & (pink eglu) ...which I seem to recall was my first request anyway, though I hadn't envisaged a (cube red) being in there, and somewhere along the line somewhere secure for (blue eglu) which will eventually have guinea pigs in...........do snivveling thieves take GPs too :(

Alresford isn't far away. Very worrying as our back garden is not secure as there is a road the other side of the fence - although they would have to fight their way through a load of vegetation.

I really don't know what to say, well yes I do, but I would be censored. I am so sorry about your birds. I expect they've been done to order or will appear at an auction or somesuch.:evil::evil:
