At last, after several weeks, our (cube green) cube has arrived

The first one we ordered was lost in transit, the second one was lost in transit, but was found and that's the one we now have, but there is another on it's way! Sadly, cannot afford two, so we will not be able to have that one. :(

So, now, sitting in our courtyard is an enormous black plastic covered package, waiting to be turned into our hens' new home.

I must say, having read the instructions which arrived yesterday, it all looks highly complicated. Not sure whether to start today or wait until tomorrow. It says approx 2hrs to build - do I need to add a nought onto that I wonder ??

however as I'm guessing Henriette is an ex-pat she will know what a 2p piece would look like.

Absolutely right, and I knew exectly where to find one. Underneath the leg of my telephone table, put there to stop the wobble!!

With regard to the "assembly", we stopped after 3 hours, but have only got the door part of the run to put on. We found the instruction diagrams very good, and I was OK with the wording but loved one not quite so. We were sent two copies - both in french. Loved one would have preferred an english version. :) Anyway, the only problem we found was the horrid green clips. 2p piece works for undoing them, but with arthritic fingers, they were almost impossible to close. In the end I used pliers to hold one end and that way managed quite easily. Took a while to find the solution though

Still, it is all incredibly exciting and I can't wait to put the tribe in there tonight. Have a feeling we might be in for a bit of a song and dance. We shall see :D Thought we might wait until they are dozy and then pop them in through the back. Hopefully by morning they will be hungry enough to make it down the ladder to their food :D

I am sure someone will tell me if that isn't going to work11 :D:D
