craftyhunnypie
We've had a swop round in who lives in what eglu. Originally 'Mini me' ( the wyandotte x cochin) & Dizzy ( the cochin x goldline) lived in the red eglu with my 2 silkies ( Scooter & Basehunter). Well they have all been free ranging over a few weeks with Spongebob & his hareem of banties, plus Rolo the black rock who live in the cube. Today Mini me & Dizzy have officially moved into the cube without any hassle at all & they are all snuggled together like a pool of chickens in the cube. Very very sweet to see the banties next to the larger ladies as if they are their mummies. Of course Spongebob is looking very smug at having 2 more ladies in his hareem. So my silkies Basehunter & Scooter ( the cockerel) are all alone in the red eglu. Which means the newbies arriving Wednesday will be living with them. I do have alternative temporary accomodation if they don't all get on at first So fingers crossed. I can't wait for Wednesday! Patricia W
I'm so envious at your integration skills and such a nice cockerel - my cockerel just won't have the new ladies - so we are now going back to square 2 ( I guess we have moved on a bit). They sleep together, but have to be separated out during the day after Teddie tried to kill Babs. Hey ho.... Tricia
craftyhunnypie
My Spongebob may be sweet with all his ladies, but he won't really have me. He flaps his little wings and sort of jumps at my feet. He doesn't hurt & we see to his spurs using the hot potato method - but I do have to keep him at a distance by tapping a stick on the floor. But if you pick him up he goes really soppy. All in all he is so sweet. Just about to let all the chooks out. They don't come out until 8am this time of year, as it's dark & foxy loxy may be in the area. Emma.x
