Louise
Hi all, Do you think the Omlet Boys have started a trend?? Check this out http://www.thepinkchickenhouse.co.uk/chickenhouse.htm I much prefer our one and at over £500 it is just a tad on the dear side What will all the wooden purists do now they have their own pink one
Popcorn
Brilliant. They're fab! Omlet are Trend Setters! (Bit expensive for a lick of paint don't you think )
Louise
Extremely Gina given that it houses 6 bantams or 4 medium hens just like the Eglu Still most folk seem to think we have more money than sense with our Eglus so its a case of live and let live (I'd rather have another Eglu though )
Popcorn
One day Louise you'll have your lovely pink Eglu - you'll see
Louise
I can dream can't I Actually I am hoping by the time I have the cash they may have made a purple or lilac one Pretty please Omlet
SarahJo
Coar blimey .... bit costly .. even the plant thingies Graham could knock up, and add a copper roof .. then I could paint and do the pretty bits for a lot less. Funny though ...... wonder what the wooden coop brigade think Bit like the flat pack styles on www.countyourchickens.co.uk .. I am off for a serious think about a "product" .... actually I already have one in mind for the omlet boys.
Popcorn
I saw those Sarahjo and thought they'd be a good place for a broody hen, albeit they are a bit pricey, but very appealing
Cate in NZ
The pink hen house looks delightful, but there doesn't seem to be a run either. So adorable looking, expensive, no run. Give me an eglu anyday . Just to add, the blurb with it announces that chickens don't like getting wet. Whoever wrote that hadn't met my 3. Torrential downpours and they're out there, looking like drowned rats, but even with plenty of shelter available they'd prefer to stand there, and get wet . I think that easier worm hunting has something to do with it
Popcorn
oh yes, an easy sacrifice to make for a tasty wormy ( )
red
Looks high maintenance to me
Mel (& Paul)
Quite pretty, but am much more keen on the eglu - now if I can persuade him that I really really really want a pink chicken house, show him the price, and then say "oh I suppose we could just go for another eglu - they are cheaper..................." Alison M
Not as easy to clean out as an Eglu and will require maintainance. Still a haven for red mites with it being wooden. ROCK ON EGLU.
motherhen
I'm getting a pink Mark 2 next week Just sort of managed to persuade OH

AnnieP
wasn't that raspberry beret?
Louise
Yes Rasberry Beret was a Prince song off the album around the World in a Day but there is also Purple Rain off the album Purple Rain (closet 80's Prince fan ) Maybe that is where my obsession with purple comes from
Mrs Frugal
Yes, Purple Rain was the one I was thinking of!
AnnieP
I prefer raspberry to purple. But then again, lilac would be nice.....still love my yellow one best though!! Although, a pink one would look very good next to it........
Popcorn
Well, I have to say with all this talk of pink, purple, raspberry and lilac, that I actually chose my green one over all the other colours because I love GREEN I just thought green deserved a mention there!
