Sorry I know this has come up a lot recently..

 

Soooo giels or boys? two pics of the same dark gold slke - I suspect this is a boy because its so much bigger than the other but it has quite a round hairdo.....? the other is much smaller but has a swept back hairdo

I would say Goldie is a boy as he is def younger than my silkies, Tia and Maria who are 32wks ish and they don`t have the wattles that he does....

 

Love the colouring on the other one so I am going to say girl!

I think they are about 12 weeks - I lose track but I think Disco Stu and Chris Moyles were in the same batch

 

I was going to send these to Salisbury auction as a pair but I am worried they are two boys so they will stay here

Yep.....Disco Stu and Chris Moyles were in this batch! They were all in the brooder when Sha and I popped over.

 

Don`t you remember Otis leap frogging onto the garden table to get a better look at Stu as Sha snuggled him!?

And Disco Stu, is that pic on the other thread a recent one...........he's still such a cutie, but these two have grown out of all recognition....and I am most definitely not commenting on genders of anyone at the mo .......I have no experience at all of silkies so couldn't be at all scientific

I'm going to say the one on the left is a boy, the one on the right is a girl. The one on the right has the same kind of darker under wing tips feathering as my Susan, which could be a coincidence as I am NO silkie expert

i got 2 from different clutches (same age) and they had a really dramatic size difference. in fact looked very similar to your 2.

 

silkies are a pain to sex though who knows mine might start crowing yet!

Silkies are notoriously hard to sex, but I'd say that you have one of each there Tasha

If I had to guess I would say a boy & a girl but I am definately not a Silkie expert.
