We are thrilled . Pitsi' crouched today when she was picked up in the run . This means first egg is not so very far away

 

Aspro is definately not so mature. Even her wattles haven't grown to the same extent.

 

It will be great to get more than one egg a day again, particularly as Kilo has taken the last 4 months off while she has had a very leisurely moult . She's started laying softees in the last week or so and these are getting to be almost daily now. She's still feathering up so we guess a lot of her energy is still going in that direction. She's on every thing that would help so just patience needed till they harden up again!!

 

Aspro looks to be the last to lay, but she's also stil "peep"ing .

It won't be long now then. I think Pipa crouched today but it was so quick I might have imagined it. Her wattles have got a reddish tinge even though they are black.

aaw its just sooo cute, I love it when they crouch

Keep encouraging it as we didn't really continue stroking them once they laid as they didn't naturally crouch . . but my daughter always strokes them & they immediately still crouch for her as soon as they see her legging it towards them after school
