Millihelen
Oh dear - I used the last of the layers pellets this morning and I forgot to go to buy some more this afternoon I am not going to be able to get any until lunchtime tomorrow as the shop won't be open before I go to work. I've got plenty of mixed corn, but is there anything else I could give them in the morning to keep them going until lunchtime? I thought it might be an idea to give them a selection of treats rather than loads of corn... any ideas? I just feel really guilty, but its too late now to do anything else... Carol U
Do you have any leftovers? Any sort of pasta, cooked potato, greens, catfood etc. I'm sure they'll survive on that sort of thing until you get home tomorrow. Good luck!
Millihelen
Thats a good idea - they love pasta, also I have a couple of windfall apples left. Do chickens eat dried cat food?
Plum
They may swell up so perhaps soak them first. It wouldn't hurt to give them weetabix for one meal.
Jools
They'd be more than happy with just corn!
BocBoc
Give them all that and they'll think you're an excellent mother!!!
Patricia W
Millihen I've just noticed you're in Abingdon - so am I and I have loads of layers pellets and growers. If you're desperate, pm me and I'll drop some round on my way to work tomorrow morning. There are a number of us in Abingdon so never suffer in silence again!
