Vacuum cleaner recomendations

Recommended Posts

Yes, the bags are quite expensive, aren't they. I had a couple of bagless vacuum cleaners and hated getting covered in dust, hair and general grub when I emptied them. There was always something stuck in the container somewhere that I had to fish out :vom: . I hate the waste involved in using bags but much prefer the convenience.

I love my dyson, I have the DC07 animal and I've had it for quite a few years. Dysons don't have to die, you can actually have them serviced, even when they've broken down  For the price of the service they replace any broken/worn parts on the machine except for the accessory tools.

I had mine done in July, the engineer came to my house stripped the dyson down replaced the hoses, canister, brush bar, motor and a few other bits that would have cost me nearly £140 for the bargainous price (in my eyes) of £63.62 and it's now guaranteed for another year

I wouldn't bother getting it done everyyear, but when a few bits need replacing it's a lot more cost effective than getting a new one :D

Is this a Dyson service ? how do I book one ? We have a repair shop in Henley but you can't park close which is a pain when you're carrying the dyson and it means being without a vacumn cleaner for a few days. Someone coming to the house would be great !

Miele every time - I am on my third, but I've never had one actually fail, so I can't remember why I got a new one!

Mine has a HEPA filter thingy - which I think lasts longer than the normal sort.

I don't like bagless, as I prefer not to see all the hair, dead skin and general grot!

Friend of mine once had a Dyson and she was convinced it was sucking up carpet as well as the dirt, and the carpet pile was getting thinner.....

Yes it is! if you go to http://www.dyson.co.uk you can arrange it, though the price has gone up to £69 now :( But that's still a bargain if quite a few parts need replacing.

Have just got a Dyson Ball. It is fantastic, with 3 dogs (one being a husky who sheds all the time) & 2 cats it picks up everything, even tries the carpet in the bedroom!!

I clean a house for a local lady and she has just bought me a spanking brand new Dyson ball to play with, so can't wait to use it! :D
