I'd like to hatch again in spring.

 

 

I'm hoping to get a new incubator,but which is the best one to get?

 

 

Also is there a Small Green/Blue egg laying chicken?

How was the move?

 

They shouldn't grow too big, I don't have any but have seen some and they're funny little birds!

 

They'll be bigger than the seramas you wanted, maybe the size of a poland or a bit bigger

Hi, just to say that I highly recommend a Brinsea incubator, I have an octagon 20 and an Octagon 40 and they are just great!

I can't help with the incubator question, but I can say that my Araucana, Lucy, is lovely. She's of my friendliest hens and doesn't mind being picked up (unlike some of my others ). She is quite flighty and is a bit of an escape artist but she lays really lovely bright blue eggs.

I was thinking of getting this? 60 Egg Incubator Kit

 

 

 

I'm also trying to get my mum to say yes to another Eglu ( ) and a WIR

 

Oh and the move went great Lewis,the only thing that went wrong was when the chick went missing

That doesnt look great value for money since you will ahve had most of that equipment from the last time you hatched surely?

 

Also a 60 egg inccy is rather big if you just want to hatch a few pets, you would have to ask yourself how well that would operate with just six eggs in it

 

I would spend a similar amount of money on a really good small auto incubator like the Brinsea Mini Advance

I agree it does look expensive and you could probably buy the things cheaper and bundle it all together. It just says 60 Egg Incubator (Red - Manual) which could be anything cheap or poorly made .

 

Tasha is right, if you only set a few eggs in it the temperature will fluctuate because there's not enough in it to hold a steady temperature and humidity. I had a similar problem with mine when it only had little quail eggs in it so I put in a few bottles of water and it did the trick

My mum said she might get it me for X-Mas as soon as she said that though i was lurking on ebay for Chocolate orpington eggs
