Laura & CTB
As some of you may know from a previous post I have a cat at work who has been sleeping on my desk everyday for the past few years. Well, a couple of weeks ago we had to have our cat Frankie pts and the house has been very empty without her................so ...........Spit now has a retirement home!!! It's a bit of relief for me to be honest as I always worried about him at weekends being on his own and at the mercy of the other local wild cats near where I work who have beaten him up a couple of times. So far, he's munched his way through a bowl of prawns and a slice of ham, has been for a good nose round the house and is now sleeping it off in his new bed Wonder what he'll make of the chooks??? Space Chick
How lovely that you have been able to take Spit home. I hope he settles in quickly and accepts the chooks

Couperwife
how will you cope without him sitting on your desk? cathy x
Laura & CTB
Good question Cathy - it's going to be very strange without him there snoring away! I guess I have to think about the positive - I get my chair to myself again, not just perched on the edge when Spit's got their first. I get to type correctly again - several times I've sent e-mail with mistakes when Spit has trodden on the keyboard on his way to his bed. No more muddy paw prints to wipe off my desk. Best of all I dont have to worry about him anymore p.s. Got no sleep last night as all I could here was Spit padding round the house trying to decide where the best place to sleep was........upstairs on the landing? .........no, on the bed.......no, off the bed..........no, downstairs etc etc all blooming night

BeckyBoo
He's GORGE!! Lovely boy, looks like he's been around the block and will know exactly which side his bread is buttered. I took in a really ugly old tabby cat from a company I used to visit, the cleaners had found him as a stray and fed him when they saw him. Then when he got run over they paid for an operation and I agreed to look after him until they found him a new home! Yeah right! I think waifs and strays, once they adopt you make the most wonderful pets. So chilled and it makes you so happy to know they've finally got security. Well done you, hope you get some more settled nights, give him a big cuddle from me BeckyBoo
Olly
He's gorgeous, I remember you posting about him at work - he really looks as if he's at home. I agree with BeckyBoo, there's so much satisfaction to be gained from rehoming an abandoned cat. Good for you!
