Chick-a-doodle-doo
Hi, me again. What happens on collection day, from what I have seen online they can be very busy so I would imagine they like you to just collect and go. Do you get to choose them or will she just pick the nearest 3 for me? I can't go myself so my husband is going for me with my daughter. 13 more days. Space Chick
It is chaotic on a rescue day, from the rescue I went to it was a case of pick up and go, and they just grabbed the next number of girls and put them into your carrier/box. I took my cat carrier and my 3 fitted in that fine for the short ride home, in fact they had to put 5 in per cat carrier when they ran out a crates at the battery farm
Egluntyne
It will be heaving. Generally rehomers aren't given the option to pick and choose. You will be given the number you have 'booked'. Any sick or injured hens will have been weeded out prior to your arrival. The remaining hens should all be in reasonable health, but with differing degrees of feather loss and comb floppiness. Very occasionally there might be a few extra hens and you might be allowed to take a couple more home....but only if you are very lucky.
