I wouldn't think so. I used it a few years ago when I wanted some black planters and it went on okay but then came off just as okay lol.

I love the look of painted poultry houses too but tbh I have enough of painting our window frames, so keeping the chicken houses smart would be a nightmare. I think I'll stick with my Cuprinol and Sadolin wood preservers. :)

I used it for that purpose..

It is very potent and fumy. In fact it gave me an asthma attack.

I left the roosting bars out in the open for about a week to let the fumes die down.

To be honest I'm not sure that it would be good for the hens in the larger amounts that you would be using.

Gloss would be an idea for inside a coop as it will fill those small cracks that red mite hide in, you would need to air the coop well after painting, it would give you a wipable surface too

If it was my coop I would use a creosote substitute on the inside to help prevent mites (again lots of airing) and the same or a water based coloured product on the outside

I just used acrylic eggshell in side the coop that way it won’t take me long to freshen it up come spring and it’s low odour and dry in 1hr oh and it was the right price as it was left over from a job I’d just finished (note to self must learn to work out how much materials I need for a job better as for aerosol paint it takes a long time for the fumes to go when it’s use in confined spaces
