pattern for knitting dummy please??

Recommended Posts

Howdy. I want to progress in my knitting but I'm still very much a beginner. I can do knit, pearl, increase, knit two together, cast on and off and not a fat lot else! Oh yes and Moss stitch.

I'd really like to knit myself some mittens or fingerless mittens, but I cant work out the pattern I've got. I just wondered if anybody could direct me to a REALLY simple pattern?

I so wish I had a local friend who knitted; I'm finding it hard to learn without somebody to ask to show me stuff.

WHAT PLUM SAID! :shock::clap:

I love to knit, HEN, and I'd be happy to show you a few more moves! We need a Crimbo Chook get together where there can be mulled wine, mince pies, chook talk and knittin'... you game?

(might want to wait for the concussion to subside though, all that squintin' won't be good for you! :shameonu: )

I'd willingly show you how to knit & make something - but am I too far away? :?

What about wrist warmer type gloves? Knit 2 rectangles using self patterning / striping wool, fold over & sew up seams leaving a hole to poke your thumb through. Does this make sense?

Lots of links on here http://www.knittingpatterncentral.com/directory/mittens_gloves.php

Just go through & find one you could manage.

i am just starting after only being able to cast on, knit and cast off.

Have got the book chicks with sticks knitting,

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Chicks-Sticks-Guide-Knitting-Patterns/dp/0823006751/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1259952230&sr=8-1

have found this book really good.

Also I have joined the website raverlyhttp://www.ravelry.com/ which has loads of patterns to hunt through. I have joined a forum on there which is all about beyond rectangles.
